Open Roles
Research Intern.
Role Details
We are looking for a research intern to support our Waste Insight Brief series and help lay the groundwork for Bunibo’s first field pilot. You will contribute to our work, support our first field pilot, and be credited on everything you produce.
You will be a great fit if you:
- Genuinely curious about waste systems, circular economy, and urban Africa
- Currently studying or recently graduated in a relevant field such as environmental science, engineering, urban planning, geography, public health, or social sciences
- Self-driven and comfortable managing your own time and workload
- A clear writer who can turn complex ideas into simple, readable content
- Based in Kenya or familiar with the Nairobi context (preferred but not required)
This role is currently voluntary with the possibility of a stipend as Bunibo grows. We ask for roughly 10 to 15 hours a week, fully remote. Applications close 24 September 2026.
Don’t see the right role?
We are always interested in hearing from people who care about waste systems, circular economy, and urban Africa. Send us a short note and tell us how you think you could contribute.
